E2050 LAN to GPIB gateway Troubleshooting Guide

Common problems when configuring VISA/SICL:

You must first configure a SICL LAN Client, and remember the 'Interface Name'.
Next, configure a VISA LAN Client as follows. In the 'Hostname' field, enter either the IP or the LAN name of the E2050. In the 'Remote SICL Address' field, enter the name of the GPIB port on the E2050. You must telnet to the E2050 to see what this name is. In the 'SICL LAN Interface' field, enter the name of the 'Interface Name' from when you configured the SICL LAN Client.
You must be able to ping and telnet to your E2050 box, or SICL and VISA will not work.
